Piqua Fish and Game is now hiring for a Bartender and kitchen help for our Clubhouse.

The Piqua Fish and Game is looking to add a few more strong staff members to our team. Safe Serve Training is a plus. We would ask you to go through the on-line class prior to employment. If you are energetic, have a great personality, are able to make pizzas, sandwiches, and appetizer type foods in a pizza oven as customers order, have experience with a POS System or are willing to learn and can multi-task, please call Susan or apply in person to fill out the necessary paperwork and set up an interview. Experience as a bartender or with food prep is a plus but we are willing to train the right people. This position consists of being able to perform bartending duties along with kitchen help at the same time as needed.

We’re looking for someone who is able to work some shifts at the bar and in our kitchen on Tuesday’s thru Sunday’s from 2:30P – 11P. Additional hours may be available on the weekends and in the evenings too if you’re interested.

September 2019 Member of The Month – Jon Baumhauer

At the beginning of each month, a new ticket will be drawn for that month’s Member of the Month. Your name and picture will be featured on the club slideshow as well as, this web page. Your name will appear on the Member of the Month board. You will receive your own Member of the Month parking spot and a free large pizza from our Clubhouse kitchen.

2019 Ladies Range Day Training Class

Piqua Fish & Game and Defensive Training Solutions of Troy invite all of our lady members to join in a fun day of live fire exercises conducted at our range. Instructor Caryl Martin will be instructing a class covering basic gun handling and safety.

This class is for women only and will provide you with experience and practice to help teach you the skills to safelyand confidently handle your firearm. Women of all skill levels are welcome to attend.

There is no cost for this class. Register on the sign-up sheet in The Clubhouse or see LaPaula Grise for more information.

Meet at The Clubhouse at 12:45 on Sunday October 13th to view a short video about range safety. Firearms and ammunition should be left ​in your vehicle until the instructor advises you to retrieve them. Do not bring them into The Clubhouse.

No CCW is required. Attendees are encouraged to bring your own pistols and ammunition to the class but there will be guns and ammunition on hand to use.
Bring a snack to share.

Please dress accordingly for the weather conditions, do not wear open toed shoes, sandals or tank tops. Eye protection is required and hearing protection is highly recommended.

2019 The Warrior Connection Aim to Zero Shoot

Please join us for our 2nd Annual Aim to Zero Shoot to benefit The Warrior Connection‘s mission! This was a wonderful event last with about a dozen shooters on hand. This year we’re looking forward to a much better turnout. Please register early, bring your friends, come out to The Piqua Fish & Game’s Ranges and get out and get your pledges for all your bullseyes and show your support for this worth while cause. This event is open to the public. The shoot will be followed by a happy hour in the Clubhouse Hall.

About twenty-two Veterans commit suicide each day in the United States.  Our Aim is Zero Veteran suicides.  What is AIM TO ZERO?  A20 is a pistol shooting fundraiser to ensure Veterans and their families can attend our life-saving programs.

Remember those middle-school walk-a-thon fundraisers?  Well, this is kinda like that, except with BULLETS & bullseyes!

Participants register for this pistol shooting event, collect pledges from friends, family, and sponsors for would be bulls-eyes you’ll plan to hit.  Shooters will compete in the event, and have a blast – literally!  Pledge collections will be handled by TWC after the event, allowing participants to focus on simply getting as many pledgers and sponsors as possible in support of our vets and our programming.

Ballroom Dancing Lessons

Members have you ever wanted to learn how to dance the night away in style? Well here’s your opportunity. PF&G will be hosting Ballroom Dancing Lessons taught by the Bowerman’s each Wednesday evening in September. Classes begin at 7PM in The Clubhouse Hall. Each week’s lesson is $10 per person. This opportunity is for PF&G Members only.

We’re looking for a minimum of 5 couples to commit to these weekly dance lessons. Please see the signup sheet in the Clubhouse. If you have any additional questions please see or contact our PF&G Trustee – LaPaula Grise at (937) 57o-1943.

The Piqua Fish & Game Protective Association Scholarship awards five, nonrenewable, Scholarship Awards each year. These scholarships will be given to five high school graduates and or college students per year. The five scholarships awarded are for $1000.00 each. Applications must have been by received by June 14th. Students applying for the award had to meet the following criteria: parent(s) or grandparent(s) are active Piqua Fish & Game members in good standing. The student must possess a 2.5 or higher GPA with an official transcript with a school seal. In addition to exhibiting good character, strong leadership and ethics the perspective students must be enrolled and starting classes in an accredited university, college, technical or trade school in upcoming year’s fall semester.

2019 Summer Lu’au Recap

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Club last night to celebrate the summer lu’au style! We had a marvelous night full of friends, spirits and fun games. The pictures go a long way towards telling the story. Thanks to all of our members, bar staff, board and committee members who work so hard to pull events like these off. From set up to take down It takes a lot of planning, hard work and efforts to make these types of events happen.

2019 Summer Lu’au

ALOHA PIQUA FISH & GAME MEMBERS!
 
It’s that time of the year again, dust off the grass skirts and coconuts and break out the tropical hats and leis we’re going to Lu’au the night away!
 
Summer 2019 is in full-swing! Join us Saturday, August 17th, 5PM at the Clubhouse as we celebrate Summer with our annual Piqua Fish & Game Summer Lu’au. Put on your best Hawaiian or Tropical attire or get-up and head out to the Clubhouse to enjoy a wonderful evening of island themed food, drinks, events, games and more! This event is for Piqua Fish & Game members only.
 
Please bring a carry-in dish to share, we’ll have plenty of food and treats to go around. Stay tuned for more info about party details and set-up.

PF&G Dart & Pool Teams Forming Soon

We are happy to announce that Piqua Fish & Game will be hosting our own dart league and will also be joining a Pool League this Fall. Both the dart teams and the pool teams will be for Piqua Fish & Game Members only.

More information and sign up dates will be available soon so stay tuned we’ll share with you all when we have the details worked out.

The 2019 Bo Curtis Memorial Golf Outing

Please come out and join in the fun! Stop by Piqua Fish & Game to signup or pickup your foursome signup sheet or you can print the one below and bring it in already filled out.
The 2019 Bo Curtis Memorial begins promptly with a Shot gun start at 10am. Those playing are asked to be at Stillwater Valley Golf Club by 9:30am.
Shirt sizes must be submitted by July 30th. All fees are payable to David “Scoop” Curtis (937) 397-8748 or Tammy Mayberry (937) 606-1153 and are due for all players by July 31st.
Pricing includes golf, cart, shirt and food at Piqua Fish & Game following the event.
